Norway, Wisconsin Speed Traps

This trap is in the unincorporated township of New Cape, Wisconsin on U.S. Highway 45. It may not even qualify as a township as it is not even listed as a Wisconsin community at city-data.com for the state of Wisconsin. Tickets are administered by the Town of Norway Municipal Court in Wind Lake, WI, a different community altogether several miles away. Within a mile stretch running through this so-called community the speed limit goes from 45mph to 35mph to 45mph to 55mph, literally within a mile stretch. The trap is set up to clock you either decelerating when entering into the 35mph zone or accelerating from the 35 mph zone into the 45mph zone. The length of time it takes to travel between these zones is literally less than twenty seconds, but if you’re over for even one of those seconds, they’ve got you for speeding.
