Rosendale, Wisconsin Speed Traps

Going west out of town after light at intersection with highway 26,30 mph until after the 45 mph sign apparantly you cant go 45 until you get past the sign.was in court today 5 of the 14 people had the exact same ticket ,they must copy them and just change the name,must use the same printer as the tee- shirts.

Going west on 23 you are apparently clear of town and no sign to indicate the limit is still 30. I have driven a billion miles and everybody passes me and I still got a ticket there. We were just driving through some back roads to avoid the freeway and were unlucky enough to pass through this town that apparently has a nice revenue source. I was frustrated enough to look for a website like this and guess what location comes up first.

Avoid this town @ all costs. The convenience store, hardware store and the bar on the 3 of the corners @ 23 & 26 are owned by the Westphals who are the biggest part of the problem in this town. I got a tix many years ago and I was under the speed limit. A truck in front of me was going faster than I was but he had just pulled out of a driveway in the village so I guess locals get a pass.

It’s funny that the person who comments on every post claiming that Rosendale is not a speed trap is probably Jim or Emmajean Westphal or someone else equally delusional. They keep property taxes low by stinging people just trying to get from place to place. Their t-shirts are NOT funny and quite honestly I’ve never seen anyone wear one. They should be banned. I go out of my way to avoid this place. No redeeming value anywhere in this community.

WARNING TO OUT-OF-STATE TOURISTS, STAY AWAY!!! 30 mph speed limit 200 yards from 45 mph speed limit sign do not accelerate above 30 until you are well past the 45 mph sign especially if you are from out-of-state Officer Friendly is watching and will be happy to welcome you. He did not stop WI car ahead of me doing the same speed
