Signal Hill, California Speed Traps
Cherry Avenue near Hill Street
Going south on Cherry Ave toward PCH. As you go down hill, there is a traffic light. On the right is a park and a police station. Motorist who do not break and speeds through this section may get ticketed as there are many cops coming or going on Hill Street, which is where the police station is at. Beware of Signal Hill cops as they only have a few areas to patrol and are zealous in protecting their little island city that is surrounded by Long Beach.

Officer at the bottom of a steep incline with Lazer radar. Posted speed is 25mph. Received ticket while coasting down hill with foot covering brake (not on accelerator.) In order to go at legal posted speed, it would be necessary to ride the brakes all the way down the hill.

Squad car will be parked at the Oil Refinery driveway … this is across the street from the U.S. Post Office … both side of the road can lead drivers to speed. Watchout.
