Sylmar, California Speed Traps
Hubbard and Garrick
Officers wait for people to not come to complete stops at this 4 way stop sign across from El Cariso park and next to LA Mission College.
210 E between Roxford and Polk
There is a long curve on the 210 and a CHP hides at the blind spot catching speeders. They will pull you over at Hubbard St (the exit after Polk) and make a huge spectacle out of it in a parking lot right off the freeway.
Hubbard Avenue
Park patrol officers constantly pull over drivers and issue citations. During the week, but especially on the weekends. Overzealous enforcement, borders on harrassment. They make a big show of it, partially blocking off right lane with lights, 2 officers. Their main job is to patrol the county parks, but they spend their time acting as wannabe LAPD officers. It’s a joke.
Polk Street near Dronfield Street
Patrol unit and motorcylce officers are stopping people near the school. Please be cautious speed limit is 25 mph while children are present. They pull over a lot of people. They are there everyother day.
Fenton Street near Maclay Street
Police car will park on Fenton Street, about 50 ft from the stop sign, or behind a parked car. Looking for rolling stop and or failing to stop at the stop sign. Have been seen early am and evenings during the week and weekends.
