Midway Rd & Lyndon B Johnson Fwy

Allison, TexasAug 26, 20090 Comments

Northbound Midway from I-635 all the way to Spring Valley. a distance of just under a 1.5 miles, is probably one of the most disgusting examples of a speed trap known to exist. This is a newly paved road with four lanes going both directions AND left turn bay center lanes. It is posted at 35 miles per hour, and they enforce very strictly, usually 5 MPH over rather than the customary 10. The street is a major north-south corridor for this area of the DFW metroplex. Anywhere else, it would be 45. The ironic thing about it is less than a mile away on Inwood Road north of Spring Valley, to the Farmers Branch city limits, the same city has a two lane road with no left turn bay center lanes posted 40 MPH.
