Redbud road

Chandler, TexasAug 13, 20160 Comments

Cop sits in the back driveway of the ace hardware store.
Have posted a 25 limit in a county road with almost no traffic on it.
Seems to be a way to tax the people living in the nice houses just outside the city limits on redbud road.

This is a new trap I noticed pop up around October 15, 2013. The cop will park in the lot at Winchester Park facing north while radaring the southbound traffic as they pass the fire station. I’ve seen them several times over the past few weeks, usually around mid-day and early afternoon. You will not see him until you crest the hill at the fire station.

All Chandler cops drive black Chevy Tahoes with "ghosted out" decals making them look almost unmarked. Be very careful in this speedtrap town, they fund their city budget very heavily with traffic tickets

This is through a 20mph school zone (school is at the top of a hill) in a 35mph regular zone. The cop sits on the right (northbound side) and gets you as you crest the hill whether or not school is in session. They also sit off the road on the left (southbound) side in the methodist church parking lot and get the southbound traffic as they crest the hill. They also run a rolling speedtrap all over town, anytime you see a cop it’s too late, they just ride around radaring everyone at all times, do not speed anywhere in this town.

as you round a corner at 60 mph around the curve & hill it changes to 40 mph quickly within just a few 100 feet and a Chandler cop in a pickup is sitting there waiting. Getting many every day.

Coming westbound from Tyler the speed drops from 65(speed limit on 31 between Tyler and Chandler) speed drops to 55mph as you enter Chandler city limits. Usually everyday at rush hour both morning and evening most evenings.
