Hwy 84 to loop 298   Slaton, Texas

They regularly sit right in the median in a Dodge PU, just beyond any overpass in Slaton. Rush hour AM and PM is good, but especially Friday and Sunday nights (college students). If the weather is bad they disappear, snow, rain, etc. They like to get out of towners for obvious reasons and rarely stop [weigh] the big trucks, and never stop the local haulers. It has to be the most prolific fifteen miles of Hwy 84, as it is constantly patrolled. BTW, they do training rides for rookies here and a good stop helps educate the new recruits! Selectively no camcorders in the Troopers cars, so bring your own. The Troopers sometimes drive real slow so they can profile each car as it passes. I can find no other reason for them to drive 40 MPH in a 70 MPH zone. Texas Police Chief's Association has stated opposition to the anti-profiling law currently under consideration in the Texas legislature. My advice to students, go to school somewhere else, you're a target.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
