Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario Speed Traps
Northern Avenue East
Police car sits in the Board of Education parking lot, facing
east towards the Metro grocery store. Speeders are usually pulled
over just west of Sackville Drive on Northern E. There are no special times
or days for the police to be at this site. Random describes it best.
Carmen’s Way
The police car sits across from Deresti Motors in
a small driveway that leads to the ACR yard.
The car is sheltered from traffic in one direction
by the underpass at Wellington Street West.
In the other direction, the police have a long, unrestricted
view all the way up to the Conmee Avenue crossing.
It is an ideal site for the radar gun.
St. George’s Avenue East at Maple Street
The cruiser sits on the west side of Maple Street near the
stop sign. As vehicles descend the steep hill too quickly,
they get pulled over. It is virtually impossible to see the police car
on descent. Once you do see it, it’s too late.
St Georges Avenue Bellow St Basils school
Cruiser sits at bottom of hill on north side of St Georges and tags people going up and down the hill
