Winfield, British Columbia Speed Traps

Speed Trap is set up regularly in the median north of the last stop light

Traffic traveling from Kelowna on Glenmore Road at 80 KPH entering Winfield (northbound) has the speed limit reduced to 50 KPH on a down hill slope. Radar awaits anyone who takes their foot off the accelerator and does not brake to slow down to 50 KPH as soon as they enter the slower speed zone. Police work radar very regularly here with little tolerance over the 50 KPH speed limit.

As you are coming into Winfield from Kelowna on Glenmore Rd. the COPs will set up in a pull out by the gravel pit right after the speed limit changes to 50km/h. There is an S bend in the road and you won’t see them until it’s too late.
