Kincardine, Ontario Speed Traps
Russell Street — Darcies Variety
Another spot on Russell is the old "Darcies Variety" on the corner of Russell and Walsh Street. A favourite time for the trap is when the schools are accepting customers in the morning.
Durham Street Bridge
Also in Kincardine there is a bridge over the river on Durham St. between the High School and the Davidson Centre. The police are hidden from either direction by being in the depression. Speed traps and Ride Programmes are favoured here.
Queen Street and MacCaskill near the Hospital
Accessing Kincardine from Bruce County Road 23, (the B-Line), the speed drops from 80km/h to 50km/h. The police set up in a laneway opposite MacCaskill where they are invisible. Always ensure you are near the speed limit when entering town from the North!
Russell st.
Russell St. has 2 schools and is a 40km zone. Police sit in the dip at the river where you can’t see them until you crest the hill in either direction.
South on Boiler Beach Rd. at Town/Township Border
Heading south from Kincardine along the lakeshore (Boiler Beach Rd.) Speed is only 40 km. until you hit where town limits border Huron-Kinloss Border where it goes to 60 km. Cruisers often parked at small town building on east side of road, right at border. Also favourite spot for ride programs. Usually there every long weekend and at least once a week during summer. Also common at Xmas season.
