North Bound Hiway 20 about 3 miles from Blue Lakes Rec Area   Upper Lake, California

At night, just after dark, CHP is famous for following way too close and just prior to the lane changing from 1 to 2 going up the hill, hopefully to create a need for the driver in front of him to speed up over the 55 mph limit. If you bite and speed up over 55 mph he then then turn on his red lights to issue a ticket. That trick was done on me but fortunately I didn't bite and simply pulled over slightly to see him slide by, disgruntled I'm sure. That area is very well trapped so don't try to speed at all.
