South Palm Avenue   Palatka, Florida

Florida Highway Patrol and Putnam County Sherriff's Department Deputies sit at the halfway point of South Palm Avenue with cars parked off the road, this is a long 2 lane road with a speed limit of 35 mph, with a posted school crossing and school warning lights stating 20 mph during school hours, all cars that are hit with radar will be a frontal shot, the trooper or deputy will then walk out to the road and flag you down and issue you a ticket. Most people caught will be doing 45-55 mph on this 35 mph stretch of road. The speed trap is about the halfway point down South Palm Avenue so beware, have a radar detector and stay close to the speed limit. South Palm Avenue runs north and south providing a connecting path between highway 20 and Silver Lake Road.

Speeding Tickets

Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
