Police hide out of site and pull over expensive looking vehicles and sports cars and ticket them for bogus speeding . If you deny speeding or argue , the speeding amount goes up and so will the fine . Locals to that city never get pulled over, just vehicles they do not recognize .

The ciy council has determined the police force should pay for it self and any where in Collinsville should be considered a speed trap. The police sit off the road on private property at each end of 377 as you enter town, and no tollerance is given. Also as you enter Collinsville east bound on FM 902, they set up radar facing down 902, from accross 377 and are hidden by not only the dark but the rise in the road and the rail road which crosses 902. They no longer patrol but spend their time on duty shooting radar or appearing in court. Since this force has become a revenue source for the city, any where in town is subject to be used as a speed trap.

About midway through town there is a school zone that may or may not have indicator lights working. You will find that rather than making the school zone more visible the CPD will wait behind an abandoned building to ambush unsuspecting motorists that pass by and then they snare you. If you live in Collinsville you are ok, if not you become another victim. Collinsville is a town of less than 1600 residents and an active police force of at least 7.
