Hwy 14/229 East-West 4 lane road   Tallassee, Alabama

Speed limit recently lowered to ridiculously low 35mph on this 4 lane highway. Local and state police hide behind signs and in parking lots. They also use unmarked vehicles. Balancing the town budget with tickets.

State Highway 229 near Sikorsky Aircraft   Tallassee, Alabama

Very long, wide, straight, flat section of roadway. Between Sikorsky Aircraft and AES industries. Officers sit on sides of road next to/in old cemetary and clock you. Mostly late at night (Dog track traffic) and very early 3-5 am to catch first shift folks going out of town. Breaks are a minimum. Not uncommon to catch cars running 25 miles an hour over limit. Usually you and police are the only ones around when this happens.
