Sir Barton Road near 60 Winchester Road   Lexington, Kentucky

Police sit in their car on the grassy part of Sir Barton Road with all lights off trying to catch vehicles going over 35. There are no street lights on this road on the way to and from Hamburg Shopping Center so you do not see them until you are right in front of them. Careful Christmas shoppers!

Red Mile Road near The Red Mile Racetrack   Lexington, Kentucky

Officers frequently park off the side of the road in disused entrances (for the stables I think) on the right side of the road when traveling from South Broadway to Versailles Road along Red Mile Road. The road is two lanes but it is very broad with a center turn lane along this particular stretch. The speed limit is 35 mph which can seem very slow on such a bRoad which boasts long visibilities. You'll see the officer camping out just as you pass (when it's too late).

4 Circle near New Circle Road   Lexington, Kentucky

I heard from a buddy of mine on the Lexington-Fayette Police Dept. that they have received funding from the DOT to add laser detectors to the traffic cameras used arounf New Circle Rd. He says they will be able to identify speeders and use the cameras to record the event. He was not sure if the police will still have write the tickets, or whether tickets will be mailed to the registered owners. He says it is experiemntal and the policy will be decided real soon after implamentation.

Hartland Parkway near Rockbridge Road   Lexington, Kentucky

The cop tends to sit at the bottom of the hill underneath some trees on the side of the road. These trees at night allow him to blend in and seem to be just a neighborhood car. During summer months enforcement is extrememly common with about an average of 5 people spotted pulled over per night. I know this since I deliver pizzas in the area and get to see them all stopped (and was once stopped myself)
