North Wildwood, New Jersey Speed Traps

Coming into or leaving North Wildwood — Rt. 147 which turns into Spruce which turns into NJ Ave. Speed limit goes from 50 to 45, then drops to 30. Signs are posted but enforcement is strict. Drivers coming out of North Wildwood from the other direction get caught in the speed trap at Anglesea Drive because they forget it’s still 30. General rule, stick to the 25 or 30 mph limits in any area of Wildwood, coming or going.

East on SR 146 as you come into North Wildwood over the bridge toward Spruce Ave. The speed goes from 45 MPH to 35 MPH then 25 MPH all with in 1/4 mile. As you come around the curve onto Spruce Ave. the police like to sit there. They like to sit there as most people are still doing 45 MPH in a 25 zone.
