Wildwood Crest is a resort town and cars with out of state plates are ticketed while driver with NJ plates are not. I received a ticket at one PM on a saturday afternoon, 6/12/04. Because my in-laws live there and are at opposite ends of the island I traveled back a forth along this road at least three times that day. Each time the police car made a U-turn and followed me for a block or two. After receiving the ticket I made sure that someone with my digital camera was with me and recorded the speed I was travelling. My brother in-law, who is a business man in Wildwood Crest has had a number of the guests in his motel ticketed as well, some of them two or more times in a weekend. If you travel to the Jersey shore, make sure you go at least five miles below the speed limit, and if possible don’t use Pacific Ave. in Wildwood Crest
