Troy Road near After you pass the Park on Troy Road coming from Radnor   Delaware, Ohio

Just after you pass the Park and the fields on the left and right hand side, you will see a curve in the road ahead. The police cruiser is generally hiding within a nook of that curve so he is not visible until it's too late. Haven't seen much activity since school let out but when it starts again...obey the speed limit, you will be stopped!

State Route 37 West near Houk Road   Delaware, Ohio

This is just east of Houk Rd. If traveling west on SR 37, the speed limit is 35, but you go down a hill so you naturally pick up speed, and then it turns to 45. About 10 feet before the 45 MPH sign, you get clocked, and they slap you with a ticket well over $100.

US Highway 23 near Main Road   Delaware, Ohio

US 23 drops to 45 MPH south of Main Rd. This in itself isn't unfair, but persons traveling at 55 MPH are likely to get a ticket costing over $100.00. A little excessive.

Interstate 71 near Exit Number 131   Delaware, Ohio

Over the past two years, Ohio State Patrol Units seen stopping motorists every ten miles. Not just at this location, but the entire length of I71, I75, I70. I constantly travel the USA from the Appalachian Mts. to California. Ohio has become the most aggressive State at stopping all motorists, truckers and others. California has become the most permissive State, wanting to keep their overpopulation moving, it seems. On the 50 mile stretch of I210, from I15 to Pasadena, I held my speed to 85mph in a 65mph limit area, and was being passed by everybody!

I've had only two speeding tickets in 22 years -- deserved both of them -- but mostly I avoid tickets by staying with the "traffic flow." Throughout all the Interstates in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, for instance, a mostly 55mph or 65 mph limit, traffic may be moving at 80+ mph or 60 mph, depending upon the number of vehicles -- nary a Patrol Vehicle in sight.

US Highway 23 near Methodist Theological School   Delaware, Ohio

Coming out of/into Columbus on US-23 you pass through the town of Deleware. The road is 7 lanes wide here and there is a great temptation to speed. The posted speed is 45 and you'd better stick to it. The Ohio State Police frequently hide on one side or another (depending if they are watching the north or south side) of the big curve near the Methodist Theological School. The day I got caught (going north) they were using an airplane. I rounded the curve and there were about 4 or 5 troopers pulling over cars/trucks the plane had flagged. The cop wrote me for 59 in a 45. I paid a $145 fine of which $110 was court costs.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
