State Route 511 near Haigh Road   Kipton, Ohio

The speed limit on Route 511 drops from 55 to 35 for a mile as it runs inside Kipton's town limits. I usually see the police parked on 511 at the intersection of Haigh Road, but I've also seen them a little further south by the water tower. Coming northbound from US 20, a resident has a sign in his yard that says "Slow down - speed trap ahead!"

Village of Kipton. As you enter the village, the speed limit drops from 55mph to 35mph. The police officer sits just up a rise immeadiately after the 35mph sign.

S.R. 511   Kipton, Ohio

Slow down on your way through this tiny town. Speeding tickets are probably the town's only income.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
