A certain Mayfield Heights police office sits in the first driveway on SOM, north of Ridgewood. He is watching for people making illegal right turns on red during extended school hours. You better have your own dashcam going to prove that you had the green, because if he says that you made an illegal right on red, it’s $200, and he "is never mistaken".

Mayfield Heights Police sit half way between Cedar Rd and Som Center Rd (Rt 91) when you are traveling towards Som Center Rd. They sit up far from the road in a U shaped driveway on the right. Enforcement is weekdays between 11:30am and 1:00pm when the office complexes break for lunch and workers are going to restaurants at the shopping plazas. There are sometimes several police cars sitting in the same driveway at these times.
Cedar Road near SOM Center Road
Mayfield Heights police car (usually MH-1) sitting in various spaces in church parking lot on Cedar Road between Gates Mills Blvd and SOM Center Rd (Rt. 91). Enforcement is typically in the morning (around 8 AM) and the afternoon (2-4 PM).
