Interstate 271 near Exit Number 23 or 26   Oakwood Village, Ohio

Oakwood police sit in the median facing south to catch northbound traffic, mostly morning commuters. Yesterday I saw the officer hiding behind a bridge abutment yesterday (Sunday 6/10/07). This is the first time I have seen them hiding behind this bridge abutment, the cruiser facing north. I think they are getting more creative. Slow down driving through Oakwood in Cuyahoga County during weekend mornings and you should be fine.

Oakleaf Boulevard near Between Broadway and Alexander Road   Oakwood Village, Ohio

Motorcycle cop hides amongst some new horse trailers on display at the entrance to a trailer manufacturer. Motorcycle and cop are entirely obscured. After clocking the target, the cop runs out into the street seemingly from nowhere to flag down the offending motorist, which I might add is somewhat more startling than the ticket. Oakleaf Blvd is a single lane (one direction) commercial access road paralleling I-271 between Broadway and Alexander Rd. Posted speed is 35 after the I-271 entrance ramp splits off. This is a non-residential area with only two commercial side streets. Motorist should heed the 35 MPH before the trailer shop or face the police.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
