State Route 42 near W Spring Valley-Paintersville Rd   Spring Valley, Ohio

A Deputy Sheriff on duty is normally located north of cross street in the parking lot of the Spring Valley Volunteer Fire Department (West side of SR 42). I have personally experienced ticketing by laser which was not accurate, ie. I was not exceeding the speed limit but another vehicle, which had passed me was. I have been told by other law enforcement officers that a Laser system cannot determine speed from behind a moving vehicle which is how I was cited.

US Highway 42 near Darnell Drive   Spring Valley, Ohio

I received a ticket a week ago driving home during rush hour at this location (my first time taking this way home). The same deputy has been in the same location 4 out of the last 6 days. Deputy does not have time to make a visual speed estimate and has less than 1/10 of a mile of visual on the vehicle b/f locking on with laser. Slow down as you approach Spring Valley Village on US-42! I'll be fighting this ticket...we'll see how it goes.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
