Milepost 8 on SR 82 between Island City and Imbler   Island City, Oregon

This is a straight stretch of road. We had our cruise control set at 62 mph. Numerous cars were passing us at a far greater speed. We were stopped by an oncoming police vehicle who said we were going 73 mph. Absolutely no way. Additionally, we were held on the road shoulder for approx. 40 minutes without the courtesy of an explanation.
For the court date on July 2nd at La Grande I have to drive for a total of six hours round-trip from east Boise. Although I know it's futile, I have every intention of stating my innocence in person. I have no doubt that this road is a gold mine for the local sheriff.
