North Avenue on the north side of town   North Plains, Oregon

City police religously enforce the 35 MPH speed on this street and when you approach the area of the elementary school you had better slow down. I know dozens of people who were issued tickets here with no leaway given the "offender".

US Highway 26 near Glencoe Road   North Plains, Oregon

Small town officer hides with hand help radar. Usually at night has his lights out and can be seen outside of his patrol vehicle next to the exit sighting his radar gun at oncoming traffic.

State Highway 26 near Exit Number Hillsboro- North Plaines   North Plains, Oregon

City police set up at Western underpass and catch vehicles going both ways on the divided 4 lane highway. Speed limit is 55, traffic flow is 65 to 70 until the highway passes through the city boundries where locals know to slow to 60 to 62. The town is not visible from the highway, so you think you are still in the country. This highway is the main Portland to coast highway. Strictly a money trap. An old friend was chief of police there for a while and he stopped the traps while he was there. He's gone traps are back.

Speeding Tickets

Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
