Fox Lake, Illinois Speed Traps
US Rt. 12 and Bay Rd./ Il. Rt. 134
North and Southbound cameras on Rt. 12. At certain times of day, weekends inclusive, the Right turn arrow goes from Green to Red in 2 (two) seconds. That’s right, a 2 second Yellow! Only Superhumans can take his eyes off the light to see if the intersection is clear, check a mirror for rear traffic, then re-check the turn arrow before making the turn. I’m certain this has caused many rear-enders in the turn lanes, not to mention unethically filling the village’s coffers and driving up insurance rates.
Grand Ave. school zone
speed limit is 35 and drops to 20 , car parked next to bar in front of Grant Community pointing radar gun
Intersection U.S. 12 and IL 134
Well marked, Photo enforced intersection traffic control lights. Very fast Amber on U.S. 12. Right turn on red OK only if you make a complete stop, wait at least 3 seconds. After Red light goes off, there is a 2 second pause before the green turn arrow comes on. If you start to turn before the arrow lights you may get a ticket.
