BUSSE HIGHWAY AND POTTER ROAD
I WAS HEADING DOWN BUSSE HIGHWAY BETWEEN MINER STREET AND OAKTON AVE. THE COP PULLED OUT FROM A DRIVE WAY THAT IS USED BY A CAR WASH AND PULLED ME OVER AT DEE RD AND BUSSE HIGHWAY. THIS PARTICULAR STRETCH OF ROAD HAS NO STOPLIGHT IT IS A STRETCH OF ROAD THAT RUNS THROUGH A FOREST PRESERVE. THIS TOWN SEEMS COMPLETELY INTENT ON WRITING TICKETS AND NOT FIGHTIN CRIME. THE POLICE OFFICERS IN THIS TOWN ARE SIMPLY REVENUE AGENTS NOT PROTECTORS OF THE PEACE.
Maine South High School

Golf Road just East of Dee Rd
Where the Meijer and movie theater are on Golf Rd- as I head west to 294 I tend to see cops sitting in the parking lot, waiting to pull out after you. I got pulled over once (license plate, wasn’t speeding) but I see this cop get people all the time. Sometimes I see them a little farther west just before the highway entrance. If you’re heading west to 294, just do the limit once you pass Greenwood! I think they are waiting for the impatient commuters heading to 294 North.
N. Northwest Hwy. & N. Greenwood Ave.
After crossing N. Greenwood Ave. heading southeast on N. Northwest Highway, the speed limit drops from 35 to 25 and it becomes a “two lane road”. There is usually no cars parked on the street so it is sometimes used as a four lane road. 25 is a reasonable limit through downtown, but not an half a mile from downtown. Just make sure your going under 35 after N. Greenwood Ave., and don’t speed up to make the light.
