Saltillo, Mississippi Speed Traps
Mobile Street- straight section in front of Babtist Church
Area of straight road in front of Baptist Church- Local Police set up around Lori drive and Cartwright street and catch anyone going over 35 MPH.
Downhill and easy to gain speed. Tickets are exorbitant.
Hwy 45 between Guntown and Tupelo
Seen a heavy influx of state troopers over the past couple of weeks pulling lots of people over. There is a school zone at Saltillo where the limit drops abruptly from 65 to 45, then goes back to 65. The school is nowhere near the actual highway (merely connected by its driveway). There are no homes in the area either, so there is no danger of children being present on the four-lane in this location. I have also spotted a number of state troopers before and after this area all along Hwy. 45 from Guntown (at the Hwy. 348 exit) into Tupelo (at the Eason Blvd. exit).
Old Hwy 45 – 2 places
Mornings – sits just West of McDonald’s, South side of road at the end of Town Creek Center.
Anytime – sits in drive on South side of road at Wesson Hghts entrance.
On Hwy 145 between Saltillo and Guntown
Usually sits beside 45 BBQ and clocks people because the limit drops from 55mpg to 45mph and 45 BBQ is right next to the 45 Speed limit sign…follow all that? lol
