Wellington, Ohio Speed Traps

South of the village, south of the railroad tracks, the police will hide out in the last or 2nd to last building on the west side of the road. It’s very hard to see them when it’s dark and they are relentless in their pursuit of speeders.

When it starts to get dark, the cops in Wellington hide in the south part of the village right before the speed limit turns from 35mph w/in the village to 55mph outside the village. My radar detector didn’t register anything, and I was (at most) doing 40mph. Cop pulls me over for doing 56mph and tells me he is doing me a favor by saying I was only doing 54mph.
