All streets in the city of So Chas. Street near all stop signs in city limits Road
So Charleston city police have given tickets when people do not come to complete stops at stop signs – usually 4-way signs but also 2-way; does not matter if you are a city resident or not. While it has not yet happened to me, it happened to both my sister and, later on in 2008, to her husband. I see police cars with people stopped all the time. Beware.
MacCorkle Avenue near Patrick Street
The area between the Montrose Exit and Patrick Street Bridge is where I have been pulled over along with many others. If headed towards the Patrick street bridge, officers may be in the Avalon Animal Hospital Parking lot or on the small passageway between the train tracks and the main road. Heading towards the Montrose Exit, they’re almost always parked in front of the chemical plant.
Interstate 64 West near Exit Number Montrose
I haven’t seen many pulled over here. I’m posting from myself getting caught here. South Charleston PD will park under the bridge underpass late at night so their cars cannot be seen until the last minute. Seeing the cars are mostly black with a little white they blend into the darkness very well. Be careful.
MacCorkle Avenue near Between Dunbar Bridge and Wendy’s Intersection Near State Police Barracks
They have the new laser out that is undetectable by the laser detectors. I have seen many people getting pulled over in this area.
