Do you folks actually know what a "real" speed trap is?
While it is true that the speed on US 27 through Highlands County used to vary erratically, this is no longer the case. A true speed trap has intentionally large or irregular changes in the speed limit. If you get caught speeding in Highlands County you were either speeding or driving with your head up your ass. The 10th Judicial District judges do not take to deceptive law enforcement tactics.
