State Route 13 near Sel State Fairgrounds

Harrington, DelawareJul 23, 20041 Comments

Rt. 13 (either direction). Harrington, Del, is a nasty little town on the Eastern Shore. Harrington apparently earns most of it’s income from people passing through from New York to Virginia Beach in the form of speeding tickets. The speed limit drops from 55, to 45, to 35. The well equipted local yokel cops are out 24/7. How a little town can afford they sophisticated LIDAR and instant-on Ka, tells me that they must make a fortune. Expect speed traps any time you pass through this place as it is a big suprise to not find them. They have obviouly accomplished their goal (safety of course for the towns 150 residents) as only locals and idiots speed through this town. Be careful!

Comments:
Ever since they got the casinos and make money off of them, enforcement has diminished. Do not be fooled as they utilize sophisticated Lidar and Instant on Ka in pursuit of funding. The most common place is after the red light heading north where they sit on the left just waiting. The speed limit off the light is 35 and they like sitting just before the end and catch unsuspecting travelers as they accelerate from the light. There are several false K's in this town so be careful.
