State Highway 98/52 near State Highway 82
Like all Jackson County cities with cops, Maysville is notorious for speedtraps. It’s a small town with 55 decreasing down to 35 in downtown. Be especially wary at night. This town might not get as much recognition for speedtraps as nearby Pendergrass does, but the cops here are just as bad!

A Maysville officer pulled over right a the school and I have been in public safety for over 18 years this officer said I was speeding that he clocked me going 51 mph there is NO way in heck he did that he was sitting in a blind drive way and I had placed me brakes on because the road ended there. this little town has cops that do not need to be cops..... Be aware if you go through this area they will stop you, I see cops go faster than what I was going and in the new vehicles you cant just keep you eye on the speed odometer all the time, I will pay the ticket but I do not think this town is right, I will avoid having to go through this town ever again.... 55 is the normal high way speed on hwy 82 and I did not even see the school lights flashing
