Mobile, Alabama Speed Traps
Rangeline Road at Rabbit Creek Drive
Alabama State troopers frequently sit in the median of Rangeline watching vehicles heading south over the Rabbit Creek bridge. The bridge blocks the motorist’s view of the troopers sitting just south of the bridge until too late.
Airport Boulevard near Newman Road
Usually State Trooper waiting on the side of the road as you come around curve from the MS state line. Right side of the road, just by bridge, right past Grand Bay Wilmer Road. But, they have been patorling this area all the way up to Newman Road. So, watch out!
Hillcrest Rd between Girby and Three Notch
This newly opened stretch of road used to be 2 lanes but is now 5. Passing thru nothing but wooded area with no intersections of any kind south of Stonemill the speed limit should be at least 50 if not 55. Instead the speed limit drops from the 40 to the north where there are many cross roads to 35 for no logical reason and the cops are out on motorcycle looking to rip you off!
Hillcrest Road near Burnham Woods Place
Motorcycle cops hidden at bottom of hill by bridge on newly paved and widen Hillcrest Road.
Nevius Road
This speed trap is located on Nevius Rd. in Mobile, AL. The police hide behind some bushes on Champlain Lane, which runs adjacent to Nevius Rd. The speed limit is 25MPH. If this was in a neighborhood, I could understand it. But, Nevius Rd. leads into U.S. Hwy 90, a major U.S. Hwy.
