Ahwatukee, Arizona Speed Traps

Motorcycle officers have been sitting under the Elliot Road overpass 3 days this week. Squad car sits at top of ramp also.

Newly opened Pecos Road is a four lane divided highway along the bottom edge of Phoenix, It is still under construction in some parts and at 20th Street it is coned off (westbound )to move traffic from one cariageway to the other, at this point there is a half mile section restricted to 25mph which seems like a crawl. The police wait in the 20th St intersection on bikes picking one motorist after another, it is easy pickings and they are there nearly every day.

Bike cops, sometimes two at a time will sit there and watch for speeders. You’re safe going 10over, but after that, watch out. Some are cool, I got a ticket for 25over, but not arrested.
