Avondale Police will randomly park on the side of the road on Crystal Gardens Parkway with radar going. The most common place is between the fire station/police substation at Crystal Gardens Parkway and 107th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard. Since this is only a 30 MPH zone, it is easy for a careless driver to exceed this.
While driving on northbound on 107th ave, between Thomas and Indian school, the road opens up to 4 lanes and includes a turning lane. The speed of traffic is about 50 miles. However because of a few residential houses that are set far back from the street, the posted speed limit is 35 mph. North of Indian school the speed picks up to 45 mph. They have a motorcycle cop with a radar gun hiding in the trees on the west side of the street. If you get pulled over you will not get a warning.
Cop sits at Elementary School. 15mph during school hours. 25mph non-school hours. 35mph used to be the speed limit, which is the safe limit for straight stretches.
Cop parks at Elementary school, typically Saturday mornings and during school hours. 15mph during school hours.
