Camelback Road near Miller Road

Scottsdale, ArizonaJul 13, 20050 Comments

Motorcycle officer shooting radar from behind some bushes on eastbound Camelback just before Miller Road. He is usually there when the white photo radar van is parked on the opposite side of Camelback clocking westbound drivers – I’m assuming this is to trick radar detector users into thinking the alert is from the van, then clocking them from his hiding spot from behind the bushes. Use "expert mode" if you have a detector to be aware of multiple threats.

Tatum Boulevard near Lincoln Drive

Scottsdale, ArizonaMay 19, 20050 Comments

Starting about a mile south of Shea on Tatum, they have photo radar, police bikes, cars, etc. They do this EVERY day. They catch speeders, they are usually starting about 2 miles south of shea, and continue to Lincoln Dr. Lincoln Dr is just as bad for this, they have the same enforcement. I remember them doing this when I was 5 y.o, and Im 22 now. They still get a LOT of speeders in there. So watch out, they WILL be there if your going down tatum. Usually look for the SUV taking pictures, they like to hide, so be cautious.

Chaparral Avenue near 68th Street

Scottsdale, ArizonaFeb 04, 20050 Comments

Scottsdale has realized a sensational revenue generator for the city….. the much talked about speed van. This thing sits on the side of Chaparral Avenue waiting for people exceeding the unrealistic speed limit of 25 mph. This thing gets parked all over Scottsdale on different days and times. The city of Scottsdale is very money hungry.

Thomas Road near 66th Street

Scottsdale, ArizonaNov 20, 20040 Comments

Typical white photo radar van parks on the south side (eastbound) of Thomas Road in front of the Paddock Pools manufacturing plant. Not always present. Keep an eye on the curb after passing 64th Street.
