Surprise, Arizona Speed Traps

Police with radar about 1/2 mile south of Sunrise/RH Johnson, just south of the Water District, protected by a Sun City Festival bill board.

The officer has been seen in AM.

Heading North on 303, just as you cross over the bridge across Grand Avenue, Highway patrol hides behind the wall, cmpletely unseen until you pass the end of the 10′ high ‘sound wall’. at this point the patrol would have nailed you with radar. I have a radar detector, and the signal usually bounces back off the cars in front of me, to alert me. Now I just am cautious in that area until I can see if they are there or not.

There are usually always cops parked on the south east corner in unmarked cars looking for people running the stop signs. Bw sure to have your seatbelt on also theyve been cracking down on that.

After you go pass Johnston Blvd. on Grand ave. South bound, you will find them in the middle of Grand Ave. off to the side, behind brush, sign, and always no lights on! and they do have mobile Radar, Laser.

City of Surprise Police are usually in unmarked vehicles, usually grey in collor.
