Speed limit is 15mph which is next to impossible without riding your brakes as Benton St winds down from Kings Hwy into downtown Eureka.

backs into drive to Condo (formerly a motel) on planer hill. about 1/2 way down, right side. coming down hill can’t see untill past the sharp corner. Normally only waits for downhill drivers, using radar, and difficult to controll speed downhill (25mph) without using brakes, officer knows most can’t or don’t use brakes.

US 23 South out of the Eureka historical district is 25mph. Any slight deviation from that and the City police officer is waiting for you.
