Highfill, Arkansas Speed Traps
Highfill cops actually hide in many places along Hwy 12 within the city limits of Highfill. Sometimes at night they sit on private property just off the roadway. They have several favorite spots but try to move around a lot. At night is the worse time. They work in teams of two cars sometimes. There are many miles of Hwy 12 in the Highfill city limits. The cops act like speeding tickets is their principle source of income. Most of their cars are black.
When traveling North the speed limit goes from 45 to 40 right before an intersection on the right. Officers sit on the right doing radar enforcement in both directions. When traveling south from the airport speed limit is 35 past intersection.
Speed limit in the drop off zone is 10 mph in front of the airport. Officers stand on the sidewalk with hand held radar and stop cars on foot.
The cops like to sit by, or near, the dumpster on the west side of the building and watch for people to run the two stop signs nearby.
this is a wide two lane road through the airport. It only has two little used side roads to provide access to hangers. the first mile or so of the road has a 40mph limit that drops suddenly to 35mph for the next two miles or so. The airport police and the county deputies love it. It is a gold mine for them. The road is wide open and not curvy. It would be perfectly safe to drive 50 mph for its entire length. It is very lightly traveled.
