Anaheim, California Speed Traps
Orangethorpe Avenue near State College Boulevard
If you are traveling east bound on Orangethorpe and you approach State College Boulevard, look out for a motorcycle officer sitting inside the Eberhard’s Tire Shop. Anyone that enters the left turning lane and proceeds to enter the gas station on the left, crossing the double yellow stripes on the ground will be ticketed. I sat there having a tire repaired and watching the officer score time and again with unsuspecting motorists because he is virtually invisible since he is sitting on the left side of the street.
Katella Avenue near State College Boulevard
Traveling west on Katella, after State College Blvd., just before Lewis St., one to three motorcycle police use radar and will pull over multiple cars at once. They are usually there in the afternoons and during rush hour.
Lincoln Avenue near St. College Boulevard
Motorcycle cop (sometimes two of them) park at the Anaheim Screen and Glass business behind the sign.
Sunkist Street near Elementary School
It is a school zone…located on a street that is a thoroughfare to the 57 fwy…motorcycle officer waits, at both the driveway north of the school, as well as the street just south of the school. He is there weekly before and after school.
La Palma Avenue near Brookhurst Street
A motorcycle cop waits at the bottom of West bound La Palma where it goes over the I-5 west of Brookhurst. There is a moving and storage company and auto repair shops there for cover. It is easy for you to pick up speed going down the overpass.
