Azusa, California Speed Traps
Sheriff deputy parks his/her car just outside the school parking lot watching for rolling stops at Stop sign at intersection, as well as drivers going over school zone speed limit.
The officer sits between two buildings on the west side of the street and is
able to watch both ways, but concentrates on the traffic coming down from Sierra Madre towards Route 66.
I have seen cops many times hiding out in the many driveways along Citrus Ave. South on Citrus Ave. towards Downtown Covina. Speed limit is 35 mph.
I’ve seen the Azusa Police department radaring people as they come south on N. San Gabriel Ave. from W. Sierra Madre Ave. This is a one way street and they sit on W. 10th St. and radar you as you come down. People have a tendancy to come out of the Azusa Canyon at high speeds and they pick them off over and over again. I have seen it a lot on the weekends. Haven’t been caught.
North of Alosta on Citrus at the cross walk for college students, 3 motor officers having a field day, no red crossing light just blinking light’s in the street.
