Bellflower, California Speed Traps
Artesia Boulevard near Bellflower Boulevard
Do not make a right hand turn off of Artesia Blvd., onto Bellflower Blvd., on a red light, between the hours of 7 a.m. & 9 a.m. Thought there is a tiny sign posted, most, including myself, don’t see it. It’s a very costly ticket. Nearly every morning, someone has been cited.
Downey Avenue near Artesia Boulevard
Downey Avenue runs from Artesia Blvd to South St, a distance of about 2 miles, with no stop signs or stop lights in between. From Artesia Blvd to Harding St. it is in Bellflower and enforced by the County Sheriff. From Harding to South it is in Long Beach and enforced by LBPD at La Jara St. Since South St. is also the border between Long Beach and Lakewood, sometimes the Sheriff (that enforces Lakewood as well as Bellflower) will be on the Long Beach side of Harding.
Clark Avenue near Alondra Boulevard
north of clark and alondra, on top of a hill, there are usually two motorcycle cops that hide and catch people, usually during the weekend mornings.
Alondra Boulevard near Woodruff Boulevard
As you go east on Alondra just pass Woodruff, right before the hill, a cop car is always waiting on McNab for people speeding down Alondra or not stopping at the many stop signs on McNab.
Alondra Boulevard near State Highway 605
Traveling Westbound on Alondra Blvd right off the 605 freeway there are motorcycle officers waiting for fast drivers. Once you exit 605 frwy traveling westbound there is a steep hill (40 mph) usually they are at the bottom waiting. There is never a time I don’t see someone getting a ticket.
