Camarillo, California Speed Traps
Upland Road West bound downhill areas as you approach Santa Rosa.
Motorcycle hides on side street and radar intended to track you as you pick up speed as you go to work/school. This is a wide 2 lane area and should have a stop signal as it is impossible to not pick up speed. Camarillo is becoming a place where you cant drive without getting a ticket. Hopefully it will not hurt tourism.
Lewis south/west bound approaching Daily
My son pulled over for having brights on. Most everywhere in Camarillo you must put brights on/off due to poor lighting and many street lights out. $200 ticket for this young man just entering college and perfect driving record. Camarillo is becoming a “speed trap town”.
Ponderosa at Mobil
The police hide in the parking lots across the street and bust cars not yielding to pedestrians.
Dunnigan at Palmer (parallels Arneill by 4 way stop)
Cop sits on Palmer and uses his "rear radar" to catch people speeding on Dunnigan. At least that what the cop said!
Intersection of Upland and Santa Rosa
Motor cycle hides behind wall…speed limit is 50 but most go 55
Sometimes, when you are turning right onto SR from Upland, the officer will move into the intersection as the light turns green for you.
If so, don’t sketch out and generally the officer will leave you alone
