The motorcycle cop parks on Vanowen Blvd in Chatsworth just west of Claremoore St. There are 3 lanes in both directions and it’s a 35mph zone? I got my ticket at 2 pm when there was only one other car visible on the road about 3 blocks ahead of me. Clear conditions, 3 lanes, no traffic what so ever. I believe that under these condition, going 50 is reasonably safe, especially since this stretch of road is about 4 miles long.
DeSoto Avenue near Devonshire Street
North bound on DeSoto between Devonshire and the 118 Fwy traffic tends to get up to 50 to 60 miles per hour. Motorcycle officer with radar at least two days a week. Further south on DeSoto just South of Roscoe blvd. motorcycle officer sits with radar between parked cars, check out cars heading north.
