Clovis, California Speed Traps
Motor Cycle Highway Patrol sit under overpass on Eastbound side as you go around the curve from Bullard, plus I have seen a patrol car sit on the right shoulder just after the same curve going Eastbound using radar. Also sometimes there is a Highway Patrol sitting on the on ramp shoulder for the Westbound lane at Fowler, cannot see him until it is too late.
Clovis & Chp mototcycles hide on streets that cross Ashlan Ave from Fowler to Clovis. Speed goes from 45 to 35 when Ashlan turns into one lane.
Clovis PD Motorcycle unit sits on side street in the middle of the block, across from ponding basin. Posted 40 mph, which is fair for the conditions.
After Sunnyside, Barstow Avenue goes from 4 lanes to 2 lanes and the speed zone changes from 40 to 30 mph quickly. This part of the street goes through a commercial automotive business area. CHP use these buildings to hide behind and motorists are unaware until it is too late. I was fined $200 for going 35 in a 30. Watch out during peak hours a.m. and p.m.
1 or 2 motorcycle cops will sit in the entrance to Los Altos Ave. on the Northbound side of Willow Avenue
