Iowa Street near Gisler Avenue

Costa Mesa, CaliforniaDec 13, 20070 Comments

Motorcycle Cops hide in the Condo driveways and regularily catch speeding motorist at all hours of the day. For some reason people drive extremely fast on this street and endanger the local residents, school childred and pets. It’s a blessing to have our Costa Mesa Police looking out for our neighborhood and taking care of the selfish speedsters.

State Highway 55 Freeway North near Bay Street Crossing

Costa Mesa, CaliforniaNov 29, 20070 Comments

Motorcycle cop sits on the right anywhere from Bay Street overcrossing to just south of the Baker offramp. Vehicles enter the start of the 55 freeway and tend to speed as the freeway is 4 lanes wide and usually light. Last couple I saw were not using radar and getting the ones who were blowing by everybody else going 85 plus.

Fairview Road near State Route 405 Freeway

Costa Mesa, CaliforniaNov 29, 20070 Comments

If you are travelling south on Fairview, cop sits at the base of the hill just south of the 405. They hide just around the right corner at the first street at the bottom, so you can’t see them till you are right up on them. Really easy to go over the limit unless you brake.

Del Mar Street near Elden Street

Costa Mesa, CaliforniaNov 01, 20070 Comments

Westbound on Del Mar going towards Newport Blvd. Seems about every other week, they have 2 motorcycle cops sitting on Elden on the South side of Del Mar. They’re looking for speeders (speed limit is 25), people rolling through the stop and window tint. I’ve been pulled over twice there for tinted windows.

Staked out at the Entrance to the Monticello Town homes, Officers sit on motorcycles with Radar aimed at traffic from both directions. Posted Speed Limit is 40. Because that stretch of road is open drivers easily exceed 60+.
