The motorcop is parked in the entrance of the apartments across from OCC. If you go westbound on Adams St between Fairview and Harbor, LOOK OUT!

Iowa Street near Gisler Crossing

Costa Mesa, CaliforniaApr 30, 20040 Comments

Traveling West on Gisler, make a right turn on Iowa. Iowa goes roughly North and then doglegs to the left through a condo community. Iowa in this location is a narrow, two lane street. High density parking along Iowa street for close baseball/soccer and condo community, children often present. Motorbike and patrol cars hide inbetween driveways of the condo community, fairly trapping speeds in excess of posted 25mph for AM and PM rush hours. Interesting there are rarely speed traps for residential community further North on Iowa Street after first stop sign where motorists speed up well over posted 25mph and childern still are present playing in front yards.

Victoria Street near The Hospital

Costa Mesa, CaliforniaMar 16, 20040 Comments

Traveling Eastbound on Victoria approaching Newport Blvd. Motorcycle officers have hidden behind the Hospital sign for years. Posted speed is 40 mph but experiencing light traffic on this open road encourages going faster.

Bear Street near South of 405 crossover

Costa Mesa, CaliforniaDec 27, 20030 Comments

Motors and cars hide in the Park across from TBN and also in the driveway on the same side as TBN, just further down. The speed limit is 40 mph, but it is a long downhill stretch from South Coast Plaza over the 405 overpass. Most people are going 50+ downhill. ALWAYS do 40, then no problem!

Harbor & Adams

Costa Mesa, CaliforniaNov 05, 20030 Comments

On the Corner of Harbor and Adams; by Orange coast College, they installed a red light cam. The camera tends to be a little edgy if you even cross the intersection a second later, so be on the lookout when the yellow light turns red.
