stretch of fairly empty road possibly extending to Van Ness Ave.; patrolled by El Camino College PD (expensive bureau with limited jurisdiction area needing to maintain revenue by enforcing artificially low speed limits). cops will linger around the area with their radar guns or simply look for cars going fast (esp. when road is empty). posted S.L. is 35; common sense suggests 50+.
