La Habra, California Speed Traps
Harbor Boulevard near Bella Vista Drive
Northbound uphill on Harbor, CHP waits on the right after the first big right curve.
Las Lomas Street near Walnut Street
A cop will sit on the west side of Las Lomas/Walnut streets, waiting for people to do a California Stop. Typically they sit high enough on Las Lomas that by the time you’ve checked both directions of Las Lomas to be clear to ‘roll’ through, they’ve caught you and it’s too late to come to a complete stop to avoid the ticket. See them there about twice a week.
State Highway Imperial near Welcome Marker Avenue
Moto officer frequently parked at the "welcome to La Habra" marker that faces west on Imperial Hwy about 3/4 mile west of Beach Blvd. He is aiming at vehicles coming east on Imperial at the top of a faily steep decline, hard to spot because the sun is in your eyes and he is "masked" by the sign. Posted speed is 45, common to see 60Mph through this area, it is very easy to do as traffic is not all that heavy and it is fairly hilly.
State Highway Imperial near Before Beach Blvd.
moto officer sit in front of welcome to La Habra sign on Imperial before Beach Blvd. At the top of the hill
Harbor Boulevard near Whittier Boulevard
Going south on Fullerton Rd/Harbor Blvd. before you hit Whittier Blvd. I got caught one Saturday early morning around 8:30am, doing 60 in a 45. It’s long downward hill, so it’s hard to keep stepping on your brakes and go the speed limit because you constantly pick up speed. Ever since then I Always go the speed limit there and have seen others pulled over at various times of the day.
