La Habra, California Speed Traps
Motorcycle cop sits in apartment complex driveway and hits cars with Laser. Usually during moring rush but has been there during luch time too. Pretty consistent and sometimes more than one cop there.
Officers sit at bottom of steep hill for northbound traffic using Laser. Very consistent and stops all vehciles going over 60 MPH in a 50 MPH zone. Anytime of day or night.
A motorcycle cop sits on a tree-shrouded median strip on Imperial Hwy in La Habra, a couple of blocks west of Beach Blvd. He points his radar gun and, amazingly, everyone he catches seems to be going 61 miles per hour. (Posted speed limit there is 45 mph.)
I don’t know if he is there at night, but seems to always be there in the morning and often in the afternoon. I’ve seen him at this location for years.
(La Habra – North Orange County)
When coming down the hill of Gilbert where it turns into Idaho. The police, typically on motorcycles will sit in the park or in several turn outs of the side streets where it is hard to see them and wait for car to gain speed coming down the hill and ticket them.
Infrequently cops will hide with their radar guns on the on the top of the hill or on the turns going downhill because they are hidden. Take caution on this semi empty street you tend to gain speed without trying!
